Your impact as a Mobile Phlebotomist is vital. You will assist Vitalant’s donor care team in creating comfortable, convenient, and consistent blood donation experiences for our donor volunteers, most days you’ll conduct a blood drive around town in one of our buses; other days you’ll interact with donors at one of our local donation centers. Every day you will help save lives and have a vital impact on your community. 

 

What to Expect

 

Schedule:  The schedule varies, but our teams generally clock in between 5:30 AM and 11:00 AM, with end times as late as 9:00 PM. The role includes 2-4 overnight stays per month (hotel, transportation, and meals are provided and reimbursed).

As a Mobile Phlebotomist, you’ll get to:  

  • Set up and break down equipment for mobile blood drives.

About the company

In operation since 1943, United Blood Services is a community blood center which provides blood, blood components and special services to patients in more than 500 hospitals in 18 states. Located in Lafayette, La., the center offers a series of services in pre-operative autologous donation, directed donation, perioperative blood salvage, therapeutic (clinical) apheresis and stem cell processing, to name a few. It also provides several laboratory services, such as immunohematology reference laboratory, histocompatibility laboratory and donor counseling.
