Business Intelligence Lead

The Data Visualisation Lead is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining compelling and interactive data visualisations that support business decision-making. This role requires a deep understanding of data storytelling, dashboard development, and best practices in data visualisation. The ideal candidate will collaborate with stakeholders across departments to translate complex datasets into actionable insights. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Power BI and SQL, with a proven ability to transform raw data into visually appealing and actionable insights. Primary Responsibilities: Lead the design and development of interactive dashboards and data visualisation tools using BI platforms such preferably Power BI Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and develop meaningful visual representations. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity in visualisations and reports. Develop and implement best practices for data visualisation, ensuring clarity, usability, and engagement. Guide and mentor team members on data visualisation techniques and tools. Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in data visualisation and business intelligence. Optimize dashboards for performance and user experience. Communicate insights effectively through presentations and reports. Collaborate with IT and data governance teams to maintain data security and compliance. Experience & Qualifications: Mandatory (critical for the Role): Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field. 8+ years of hands-on experience in data analysis, visualization, and business intelligence development. Advanced expertise in Power BI, including data modelling, DAX, Power Query, and visualizations. Strong proficiency in SQL, with experience in writing complex queries and optimizing database performance. Experience connecting and working with diverse data sources (e.g., SQL Server, Azure, Excel, APIs). Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and BI best practices. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Knowledge SAP MM, SAP Sales and SAP Finance is desirable.
