About The Role
We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and highly motivated
Visual Merchandising Intern to join our dynamic retail team. In this role, you will work closely with our Senior Visual Merchandiser to conceptualize and execute eye-catching in-store displays that drive footfall, elevate the customer experience, and maximize sales. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate who is passionate about fashion/retail and is willing to relocate for hands-on, industry experience.
Key Responsibilities
Store Displays & Windows: Assist in designing, building, and installing captivating window displays and in-store focal points retail design details.
- Mannequin Styling: Dress and style mannequins according to the latest seasonal trends, brand guidelines, and current marketing campaigns.
- Floor Layout & Signage: Help implement store planograms, ensuring products are merchandised logically, neatly, and appealingly.
- Inventory Management: Ensure all merchandise on the sales floor is correctly tagged, sized, and accompanied by the appropriate pricing and promotional signage.
- Trend Research: Compile mood boards and research competitor activities and current visual merchandising trends to bring fresh ideas to the team.
- Daily Maintenance: Conduct daily walk-throughs to ensure the store maintains a pristine, premium look (e.g., proper lighting, fixture placements, and organized displays).
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Recent Graduate (Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Visual Merchandising, Interior Design, Fine Arts, or a related field).
- Relocation: Must be willing and ready to relocate to the store location for the duration of the internship.
- Skills: Strong aesthetic sense, basic knowledge of color theory, and a keen eye for detail. Proficiency in design tools like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or 3D modeling software is a plus.
- Work Ethic: A proactive "can-do" attitude, excellent teamwork skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.
