4080 Studio is looking for a creative, high-energy Visual Design Intern to join our team. We’re seeking someone who lives at the intersection of static design, fluid motion, and custom illustration.
This isn't a "shadowing" role you’ll be right in the mix, contributing to real projects and helping shape the visual language of 4080. Whether you're a self-taught creator or a recent grad, we care about your craft and your hunger to build.
The Opportunity
As our Visual Design Intern, you’ll work closely with our senior creatives to turn concepts into polished, moving assets. You’ll get hands-on experience in a fast-paced studio environment and build a portfolio that actually gets noticed.
What you’ll be doing:
- Motion Design: Bring static UI and brand elements to life using Jitter. We love clean, snappy transitions that feel intentional.
- Custom Illustration: Develop unique illustrative styles from vector icons to textured digital paintings to ensure our work never looks like "stock."
- Production Support: Assist in creating high-fidelity visuals for digital interfaces, decks, and social campaigns.
- Collaborative Iteration: Participate in creative kick-offs and feedback sessions. Your perspective is a tool we want to use.
What We’re Looking For
- The Portfolio: A showcase of work that proves a strong eye for layout, typography, and color.
- Motion Skills: Proficiency in Jitter is a must for quick, effective web and social motion.
- Illustration Talent: You have a distinct illustrative voice and love to create custom assets from scratch.
- The Toolkit: You’re a pro in Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite.
- Bonus Points: Experience with Rive (for interactive state machines) or Cavalry (for procedural 2D animation) will move you to the top of the list.
