About the Role
Kaleidoscope is looking for a 2D Design Visualizer who leads from the front; someone who can own a visual brief end-to-end, manage a design team, and consistently deliver work that is original, production-ready, and on time. This is not an execution role. We need a creative thinker who builds systems, sets visual direction, and raises the bar for the team around them.
What You'll Own
* Set visual direction and design language for events, stage screens, brand experiences, and large-format digital environments
* Translate complex creative briefs into clear concepts, moodboards, and design frameworks — fast and without hand-holding
* Lead and supervise the design team through the full production pipeline, from ideation to final asset delivery
* Design and own workflows that ensure quality, consistency, and speed across concurrent projects
* Review and sign off on team output before it goes to production or client
* Drive brainstorming sessions and push concepts beyond the obvious and the trending
* Collaborate closely with producers, AV leads, and content teams to ensure design integrity at every touchpoint
What We're Looking For
* 3-5 years of experience in 2D visual design, with at least 2 years in a lead or managerial capacity
* Demonstrated ability to manage a design team — not just collaborate within one
* Mastery of Photoshop and Illustrator; strong working knowledge of design principles across composition, typography, colour, and large-format display
* A portfolio that shows original conceptual thinking — not trend-chasing
* Proven experience working under tight turnaround timelines without compromising quality
* Experience designing for stage screens, events, presentations, or spatial environments is strongly preferred
* High visual IQ — able to see what a concept should feel like before it's built
Good to Have
* Proficiency in After Effects or motion design fundamentals
* Experience in an agency or production house environment
* Familiarity with immersive environments, projection mapping, or experiential design
