Job Role: Freelance Faculty for Introduction to Business Analytics – MBA Business Analytics Program
Job Position: Freelance Faculty (Part-Time / Hourly Basis)
Location: Gurugram, Haryana
Summary
Edept Operations is seeking an experienced professional or academic to teach Financial Analytics as part of the MBA-BA programme at SGT University. The course bridges finance fundamentals with analytical tools and techniques, equipping MBA students to interpret financial data, build models, and drive investment and operational decisions using quantitative methods. The ideal candidate brings both financial domain expertise and hands-on analytical capability.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver 6 hours of instruction per week covering financial analytics theory and applied techniques
• Teach core topics: financial statement analysis, ratio analysis, time value of money, risk and return analytics, portfolio analysis, and valuation modelling
• Cover quantitative methods applied to finance: regression analysis for financial forecasting, Monte Carlo simulation, scenario and sensitivity analysis
• Introduce students to financial data platforms and tools: Excel (financial modelling), Bloomberg basics, or Python/R for financial analysis (as applicable)
• Design case-based assignments using real Indian and global corporate data (NSE/BSE-listed companies, RBI data, SEBI filings)
• Conduct sessions on credit risk analytics, working capital analytics, and capital budgeting decision models
• Set and evaluate assessments including financial modelling projects, case analyses, and sessional tests
• Maintain student progress records and coordinate with the Edept academic team on curriculum delivery
Qualifications & Experience
• MBA (Finance) / CA / CFA / M.Sc. Finance / M.Sc. Economics or equivalent postgraduate qualification
• Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in financial analysis, investment banking, equity research, corporate finance, or financial consulting
• Strong proficiency in Excel-based financial modelling; working knowledge of Python or R for finance is advantageous
• Ability to interpret and teach from real financial statements, NSE/BSE data, and regulatory filings
• Clear, structured communication suited to a postgraduate management classroom
• Prior teaching, guest lecturing, or corporate training experience preferred
Preferred / Added Advantage
• CFA charterholder or CFA Level II/III candidate
• Hands-on experience with equity valuation, DCF modelling, or credit risk assessment in a professional setting
• Familiarity with Python libraries for finance: pandas-datareader, yfinance, or quantlib
• Prior MBA-level teaching experience in Finance, Financial Modelling, or Investment Analysis
Compensation
As per Edept standard visiting faculty rates; commensurate with qualifications and experience
