PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: The IT Intern will support the IT department in managing and maintaining computer systems, troubleshooting technical issues, and assisting with various IT projects. This position provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of information technology.
MAJOR DUTIES:
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software.
- Provide technical support to employees by troubleshooting software, hardware, and network issues.
- Help maintain IT inventory and documentation.
- Participate in IT projects, including system upgrades and migrations.
- Assist in the setup and support of audio-visual equipment for meetings and presentations.
- Monitor and respond to help desk tickets, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance system performance.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION PREFERRED/SPECIAL NOTES:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of computer systems, networks, and software applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and other common software tools.
