About the role

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in Cyber Security and IT. The chosen applicant will analyse current business procedures, find areas for development, and collaborate closely with stakeholders to advance strategic goals within the organisations Cyber Security function. The successful candidate will be available to work onsite in Glasgow when needed, so would be required to be a commutable distance away from the Glasgow site. The role will be working within the Utilities sector, so although not essential experience within Utilities is highly advantageous. Key responsibilities as a Business Analyst: Support the delivery of cyber security and IT projects, working closely with project managers, operational teams, and cyber/IT professionals. Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business goals, with a particular focus on cyber security threats, compliance, and risk management. Assess the impact of proposed changes and provide recommendations to minimize risks. Conduct thorough analysis of business processes, workflows, and operations to identify areas for improvement. Support the implementation of new processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of change initiatives post implementation. Business Analyst Key Skills & Experience: Strong background in Cyber Security and demonstrable experience delivering security focused business analysis. Proven analytical skills with the ability to translate business needs into clear and actionable requirements. Familiarity with Agile, Lean, or Six Sigma methodologies is advantageous. Experience facilitating workshops, process mapping, and gap analysis. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Desirable Qualities: Knowledge of cyber security standards, frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001), and relevant regulations such as NIS is preferred. Experience working in the Utilities sector.
