🔩 Automotive Parts Counterperson Responsibilities
As a Parts Counterperson, you play a key role in dealership operations and customer satisfaction:
- Assist customers and technicians with automotive parts sales and inquiries
- Accurately identify and specify parts and accessories
- Process parts orders, returns, warranties, and core charges
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions
- Answer phones promptly and assist customers professionally
- Follow up on orders to ensure timely delivery
- Cross-sell parts, accessories, and product lines
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient parts department
- Support inventory management and stocking
- Work closely with service and sales departments
✅ Qualifications
- Previous automotive parts experience or dealership experience preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Knowledge of automotive systems and parts lookup processes
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Comfortable using dealership software (CDK or similar a plus)
- Reliable team player with a professional attitude
