About the role

  • Set up, calibrate, and operate reliability testing equipment for environmental, mechanical, and electrical stress tests (e.g., thermal cycling, damp heat, UV exposure, mechanical load).
  • Execute testing according to IEC 61215, IEC 61730, and other relevant PV module standards.
  • Handle solar modules and prepare samples for various destructive and non-destructive tests.
  • Monitor test equipment, log test data, and ensure testing is conducted according to protocols and schedules.
  • Analyze test results, identify failure modes, and collaborate with engineering teams for root cause analysis.
  • Maintain lab documentation, test records, calibration logs, and safety protocols.
  • Assist in the development of new testing methods and accelerated stress protocols.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives for lab efficiency, safety, and reliability processes.
  • Coordinate with quality, Reliability, and product engineering teams for product qualification and certification testing.

    Required Qualifications:
  • Diploma/BTech/BE degree in Mechanical, Materials, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in reliability, quality, or testing roles in a lab environment (solar/PV industry preferred).
  • Familiarity with solar module design and PV materials.
  • Understanding of IEC/UL standards for PV module testing.
  • Experience with environmental chambers, electroluminescence imaging, IV curve testers, thermal cyclers, etc.
  • Good documentation and data analysis skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, safety, and protocol compliance.
