Description
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing financial data, processing invoices, and ensuring accurate expense reporting across various cost centers. Reporting to the AP Lead, this is an hourly, non-exempt position eligible for overtime. Key duties include vendor management, verifying purchase orders, reconciling invoices, scheduling payments, and resolving discrepancies. The role also involves supporting compliance reporting, assisting with inventory tasks, maintaining petty cash reports, and handling correspondence.

Requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting or some college credit in accounting or related field preferred
- 1 to 3 years of applicable experience.
- Experience and competency in accounting and business management software a plus, Acumatica preferred
- In-depth knowledge of accounts payable principles, accounting standards, and industry regulations a plus.
- Experience in account reconciliation a plus.
- Bilingual, English & Spanish a plus.
- Must possess strong attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and orally.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Comfortable making decisions independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook).
Work Environment & Physical Demands
· Ability to use a computer approximately 6-8 hours per day.
· Ability to perform with frequent interruptions and/or distractions.
· Ability to perform effectively under conditions of fluctuating workload.
· Ability to use telephone and email to communicate.
· Ability to work at a desk approximately 6-8 hours per day.
· Must have the ability to bend, stoop and frequently lift approximately 15lbs.
