The Senior Director of Human Resources plays a strategic role in aligning HR initiatives with the overall business objectives of the organization. This position is crucial in overseeing the development and implementation of innovative HR strategies designed to enhance workforce engagement, performance, and organizational effectiveness.

The Senior Director will lead a team of HR professionals and work closely with executive leadership to address the evolving needs of a diverse employee base amidst a dynamic business landscape. By fostering a culture of inclusion and continuous improvement, this role contributes significantly to attracting, retaining, and developing top talent while ensuring that HR practices comply with legal and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate must possess extensive experience in HR policy development, administration, and implementation and demonstrate a strong ability to navigate challenges with a solution-focused mindset. They will also provide mentorship and guidance to HR staff, ensuring that the department operates efficiently and actively contributes to the overall company mission.

  • Lead talent acquisition efforts to recruit top talent across all levels.
  • Oversee the development and administration of employee benefits and compensation programs.
  • Enhance employee engagement through innovative programs and initiatives.
  • Implement training and development programs to foster employee growth.
  • Drive performance management systems to optimize productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
  • Manage employee relations and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Provide guidance to management on HR-related issues and best practices.
  • Develop and monitor key HR metrics and reports.
  • Foster a diverse and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on organizational changes and restructuring.
  • Lead HR technology implementation and enhancements.
  • Mentor and develop HR staff to improve performance.
  • Act as a change agent for organizational development initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
  • A minimum of 15 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior role.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, regulations, and employment law.
  • Proven track record in workforce planning and talent management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in change management and organizational development.
  • Ability to analyze HR metrics to drive data-informed decisions.
  • Project management experience preferred.
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is highly desirable.
  • Strong consulting and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and diverse environment.
  • Ability to foster collaboration and teamwork across departments.
  • Proficiency with HR information systems (HRIS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strategic thinking with a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
