About the role

General Summary

  • Direct daily operations of the Engineering Team encompass hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management. Build and grow a productive, motivated, and engaged team that consistently meets project deliverables.
  • Foster seamless communication between Team and stakeholders, including capability & platform owners across the globe.
  • Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with key stakeholders organization-wide, ensuring that the team objectives align with the company's overarching goals.
  • Serve as the primary contact for all India-related issues, facilitating efficient resolution and maintaining effective stakeholder communication.
  • Promote and establish employer brand in India to attract top tech talent, actively supporting recruitment endeavors.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the team, nurturing a culture that encourages continuous learning, innovation, and open dialogue.
  • Communicate effectively to all levels of the organization, including executives.
  • Impact business in utilizing data-driven insights to drive growth and transformation.

Skills & Experience required

Demonstrated Ability to Drive the Team - At least 5 years of management experience with larger engineering teams, exhibiting exceptional leadership and people management skills. Proven ability to build, nurture, and lead high-performing, motivated teams from the ground up, with a focus on cultivating a culture that fosters technical excellence.

Global Leadership and Change Catalyst - Demonstrated proficiency in working within a global organization, showcasing adeptness in collaborating with teams across various time zones and cultures. Demonstrated ability to drive a large-scale change and to act as a positive disruptor that can view opportunities versus barriers required.

Who You Are & What You've Done

  • BE in CS or equivalent.
  • 22+ years of software engineering including 5+ years in software management or architecture
  • Should have a proven track record of successful project delivery and exceeding technical objectives.
  • Deep understanding of software development methodologies, best practices, and architecture principles.
  • Experience working on real-time data processing and building large-scale query-serving applications
  • Expert at React, JavaScript, Node, and JVM stack-based technologies.
  • Hands-on expertise in big data technologies. At least two and preferably several from Spark, Flink, Druid, Hadoop, Kafka & big query.
  • Working experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across various teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership qualities, including the ability to mentor, motivate, and inspire others.
  • Passion for continuous learning and adapting to emerging technologies.
