Job details:
Role: Videographer - Social Media Content
Location: Mumbai (travel across group campuses, occasional outstation)
Reports to: [Manager, Marketing & Content]
Type: Full-time, on-roll
Experience: 2–5 years
About the role
We film in schools every week. Sports days, science fairs, assemblies, board results, IB exhibitions, teacher workshops, first day of Nursery. The footage only works if the person holding the camera knows what is actually happening in the room and which thirty seconds of it will matter to a parent scrolling on their phone.
We are looking for a videographer who shoots and edits, and who thinks about the story while shooting rather than discovering it later in the timeline.
What you'll do
- Shoot school events, classroom activity, campus life, student and teacher interviews across our campuses
- Cut vertical reels for Instagram and Facebook, plus 60–120 second event highlight films
- Deliver fast. Reels within 24–48 hours of an event, highlight films within the agreed timeline
- Handle your own audio, lighting and stabilisation on location; most shoots are solo or two-person
- Sit in on planning so you know the shot list before you arrive, and flag what we should be filming that nobody asked for
- Manage footage properly: naming, backups, an organised archive we can pull from a year later
- Proficiency with latest visual trends, social media hooks in Reels & short-form & long form content
- Work with the marketing team on captions, supers, subtitles and music selection
- Keep a small kit inventory in working order
What we're looking for
- 2–5 years shooting and editing, ideally including work with children, events or institutional content
- Strong on Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve. Comfortable with After Effects basics for titles and supers
- Genuinely good at pacing and sound design in short-form. Your reels should hold attention without relying on a trending audio
- Can operate mirrorless or cinema cameras, gimbals, lav and shotgun mics, and basic lighting
- Editorial judgement. You can tell the difference between a nice shot and a shot that says something about the school
- Calm around children and unflappable when a schedule collapses, which it will
- Willing to work occasional weekends and early mornings when events demand it
Good to have
- Drone experience with valid certification
- Photography alongside video
- Familiarity with IB, CBSE, ICSE or Cambridge school environments
- Basic understanding of Meta and YouTube specs and what performs on each
Non-negotiables
Filming in a school comes with responsibilities. You will follow our child protection and media consent protocols without exception: no filming of students without parental consent on record, no personal social sharing of school footage, no unsupervised interaction with students. We take this seriously and so should you.
