Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly creative and detail-orientated videographer to join our team. As our videographer, you will be the visual storyteller behind our brand, responsible for capturing and producing high-quality video content from concept to final cut. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for cinematic composition, a deep understanding of pacing and narrative, and the technical expertise to handle both field production and post-production editing.
Key Responsibilities- Pre-Production Planning: Collaborate with the creative, marketing, and social media teams to brainstorm video concepts, develop storyboards, write scripts, and plan shoot logistics (location scouting, talent coordination, and scheduling).
- Video Production: Lead on-set and on-location shoots. Manage all technical aspects of filming, including camera operation, framing, lighting design, and professional audio recording.
- Post-Production & Editing: Edit raw footage into polished, engaging video assets tailored for various platforms (YouTube, Instagram Reels, TikTok, corporate website). Handle colour correction/grading, sound design, audio mixing, and basic motion graphics.
- Brand Alignment: Ensure all visual output strictly adheres to company brand guidelines and maintains a consistent tone and aesthetic.
- Equipment Management: Operate, maintain, clean, and troubleshoot all company-owned camera, lighting, and audio gear. Track inventory and recommend necessary equipment upgrades.
- Asset Organisation: Manage video archives efficiently. Back up raw footage, maintain organised project files, and ensure final deliverables are easily accessible to stakeholders.
- Trend Monitoring: Stay current with the latest industry trends, social media formats, video technologies, and editing techniques to keep our content fresh and innovative.
Requirements & Qualifications- Experience: [e.g., 3–5] years of proven professional experience as a videographer, video editor, or similar production role.
- Portfolio: A strong, diverse demo reel or portfolio showcasing your shooting, editing, and storytelling capabilities. (Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.)
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to direct non-professional talent on camera and collaborate effectively with a creative team.
Technical Skills Requirements- Camera Gear: Mastery of modern DSLR, mirrorless, or cinema camera systems (e.g., Sony FX series, Canon Cinema EOS, RED, etc.), as well as gimbals and drones.
- Post-Production Software: Expert proficiency in industry-standard editing software, specifically Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro X, or DaVinci Resolve.
- Motion Graphics: Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects or similar software to create engaging text animations and lower thirds.
- Audio & Lighting: Deep understanding of three-point lighting, natural light manipulation, and capturing clean field audio using lavalier and boom microphones.
