Video Editor (Podcasts & Brand Content)
Location: Bangalore (On-site)
Type: Full-time
Experience: 3–4 years
The Role in One Line
You are not just an editor — you are a content shaper who understands what makes people watch, stay, and engage.
About Wirality
Wirality is an independent creative and digital agency operating at the intersection of culture, content, and performance marketing.
We create content that is not just visually good, but watchable, shareable, and built for the internet.
From long-form podcasts to short-form viral clips, our work is designed to capture attention and drive engagement across platforms.
Why This Role Exists
We are scaling our content engine — especially across podcasts, branded content, and short-form video.
This Role Exists To
- Turn raw footage into high-retention, platform-optimized content
- Bridge the gap between long-form storytelling and short-form virality
- Ensure consistent quality, speed, and output across video content
- Support both creative storytelling and marketing objectives
What You’ll Do
- Podcast & Long-Form Editing
- Edit multi-camera podcast videos for platforms like YouTube and Spotify
- Ensure clean cuts, pacing, and narrative flow across long-form content
- Maintain high standards of audio-video sync and production quality
- Short-Form Content Creation
- Identify and extract high-retention moments from long-form content
- Create Reels, Shorts, and social-first clips optimized for each platform
- Adapt edits based on platform behavior (hook, pacing, format)
- Brand & Campaign Content
- Edit brand videos, promotional content, and marketing campaigns
- Align output with brand tone, messaging, and visual identity
- Work on performance-driven content, not just aesthetic edits
- Motion & Enhancement
- Add motion graphics, subtitles, titles, and lower thirds
- Use music, sound effects, and transitions to enhance storytelling
- Apply basic color correction and audio cleanup
- Collaboration & Execution
- Work closely with content, creative, and marketing teams
- Understand briefs and deliver within tight timelines
- Manage files, footage, and exports in a clean, scalable way
- Content Awareness
- Stay updated with editing trends, platform formats, and internet culture
- Continuously improve content for engagement and retention
What We’re Looking For
- Experience
- 3–4 years of experience in video editing or post-production
- Experience editing podcasts or interview-style content

- Working knowledge of After Effects / Photoshop / motion graphics

- Creative Capability
- Strong sense of storytelling, pacing, and audience attention
- Ability to identify hooks, highlights, and engaging moments
- Understanding of content retention and engagement patterns
- Production Awareness
- Basic understanding of camera, audio, and lighting setups
- Ability to assist in podcast shoots or production when required
- Tools
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- Adobe After Effects
- Adobe Photoshop

What Success Looks Like
In the First 3 Months
- You can independently edit podcasts and short-form clips
- Your edits show clear improvement in pacing and engagement
- You understand how to pick strong moments for short-form content
- You deliver consistently within deadlines
In the First 6 Months
- You are reliably producing high-retention short-form content
- You improve the overall quality and speed of video output
- You become a go-to editor for both long-form and brand content
- Your work contributes to better engagement on social platforms
The Kind Of Editor Who Will Love This Role
You will thrive here if you:
- Think content-first, not just editing-first
- Are obsessed with what makes people watch till the end
- Enjoy working on both long-form depth and short-form speed
- Can handle fast-paced, high-volume content environments
- Are comfortable taking feedback and iterating quickly
The Kind Of Editor Who Will Struggle Here
This role may not be a fit if you:
- Focus only on technical editing, not storytelling
- Prefer slow, perfection-driven workflows over speed and iteration
- Don’t understand social media formats and audience behavior
- Struggle to work under tight timelines
- Need highly structured environments with constant direction
Bonus (Nice to Have)
- Experience with podcast production or studio setups
- Understanding of YouTube retention editing styles
- Familiarity with short-form content strategy
