Role Description The Video Editor – Paid Intern role is a full-time remote position responsible for creating high-quality video content that supports Acadum’s online French courses and brand communication. Day-to-day tasks include editing raw footage into engaging lessons and promotional videos, adding transitions, effects, and audio elements, and ensuring videos align with the platform’s learning objectives and visual identity. The intern will collaborate with instructors and the marketing team to repurpose class recordings, testimonials, and social media content, maintaining consistent style and quality across platforms. Additional responsibilities may include basic color correction, adding subtitles or captions, preparing video assets for different channels (website, YouTube, social media), and organizing media files for efficient workflow. The role offers hands-on experience in educational content production and the opportunity to contribute creative ideas to enhance learner engagement.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess foundational skills in video production and the ability to work with raw footage and audio assets.
- Candidates should possess strong video editing abilities, including cutting, sequencing, adding transitions, and synchronizing audio and visuals.
- Candidates should possess skills in video color grading to ensure consistent and professional-looking visual output.
- Candidates should possess motion graphics and graphics skills to create titles, lower thirds, overlays, and simple visual elements for educational videos.
- Familiarity with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or similar) and basic audio editing tools.
- Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to follow brand guidelines while working independently in a remote setup.
- Interest in education, language learning, or e-learning content is beneficial; prior experience with online course or social media video content is a plus.
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant program (media, film, design, communication, or related field) is preferred but not mandatory.
