Role Description The Video Editor role at Gencosys is a full-time, on-site position based in Lucknow. This role is responsible for editing raw video footage into polished content for marketing, product, training, and corporate communication purposes. Day-to-day tasks include organizing and trimming clips, applying transitions, effects, and color grading, adding motion graphics and titles, and ensuring audio quality and synchronization. The Video Editor will collaborate closely with content creators, designers, and marketing teams to interpret briefs, develop storyboards, and deliver videos aligned with brand guidelines and project objectives. The role also involves maintaining an organized media library, managing project files, and staying updated on video trends and editing best practices.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Video Production skills, including planning shoots, understanding camera workflows, and organizing footage.
- Candidates should possess solid Video Editing skills, with proficiency in non-linear editing software and creating smooth, engaging narratives.
- Candidates should possess expertise in Video Color Grading to ensure consistent visuals, mood, and brand-aligned color palettes.
- Candidates should possess Motion Graphics and Graphics skills for creating titles, overlays, simple animations, and visual assets.
- Candidates should have strong attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to follow brand guidelines and project briefs.
- Candidates should have good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams on-site in Lucknow.
- Relevant experience in video editing for digital platforms (social media, web, and corporate use) is highly beneficial.
- A diploma or degree in Film, Media, Animation, Graphic Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
