ABOUT US: India Abroad® and New India Abroad®, publications of Indian Star LLC, are primarily meant to keep the Global Indian Diaspora informed about what is happening in India, the world and in their own neighborhoods through digital platforms, and print publications.
About the Role
India Abroad is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video News Editor to produce engaging news videos for our digital platforms.
Responsibilities
- Edit daily news videos, interviews, and feature stories.
- Create short-form videos for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, Facebook, and X.
- Add graphics, captions, animations, music, and sound effects.
- Perform basic color correction and audio editing.
- Work closely with reporters and producers to meet daily deadlines.
- Ensure videos meet editorial and brand standards.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of video editing experience.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (After Effects and DaVinci Resolve are a plus).
- Strong storytelling and editing skills.
- Experience editing news or current affairs content is preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Experience with voiceovers and/or on-camera news presentation is a plus.
Job Details
- Location: Remote
- Shift: Morning (8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. IST) or Evening (7:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m. IST)
- Budget: 30-40K/mo
- Work Schedule: Six days with sunday rotational shifts
