Bharat Sutra combines educational podcasting with cultural education, fact‑checking, and contextual storytelling to connect ancient traditions with contemporary perspectives.
Role Description The Video Editor (Intern) will support the production of Bharat Sutra episodes by assembling, editing, and refining video content for digital platforms. This full-time, WFH role based in Mumbai involves working closely with the creative and research teams to translate podcast audio into compelling visual narratives, including incorporating motion graphics, titles, and visual assets.
Day-to-day responsibilities include organizing raw footage, synchronizing audio and video, trimming and sequencing clips, adjusting color and sound levels, and ensuring that final outputs align with brand guidelines and educational goals. The intern will also assist in repurposing content for social media, maintaining file organization, and collaborating in brainstorming sessions to enhance visual storytelling for Indic history and culture.
Qualifications
- Strong foundational skills in video production and an understanding of the end-to-end video workflow.
- Proficiency in video editing, including cutting, sequencing, and synchronizing audio and video.
- Ability to perform video color grading to maintain consistent visual tone and quality.
- Experience or interest in motion graphics and basic graphics creation for titles, lower thirds, and visual enhancements.
- Familiarity with industry-standard editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, After Effects or similar).
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Interest in Indian culture, history, and educational content, with a willingness to learn and engage with research-driven material.
- Pursuing or recently completed studies in film, media, communication, design, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
Salary: 5000-10000 per month
