Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Video Editor role for South YouTube Channels, based in Hyderabad. The Video Editor will be responsible for editing and assembling video content for South-language YouTube channels, ensuring engaging storytelling, pacing, and visual appeal tailored to regional audiences. Day-to-day tasks include selecting and organizing footage, applying color correction and grading, adding motion graphics and basic graphic elements, and ensuring that content aligns with brand guidelines and platform best practices. The role involves close collaboration with content, creative, and channel management teams to meet publishing schedules, optimize content for audience retention, and implement feedback quickly. The Video Editor will also maintain organized project files, follow technical specifications for different platforms, and stay updated on trends in YouTube content and regional digital entertainment.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Video Editing and Video Production, including assembling raw footage, timelines, and exporting for YouTube and other digital platforms.
- Proficiency in Video Color Grading to ensure visual consistency, mood, and quality across all videos.
- Experience in Motion Graphics and basic Graphics to create titles, lower-thirds, simple animations, and channel branding elements.
- Proficiency with industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and basic familiarity with motion graphics tools (e.g., After Effects).
- Understanding of YouTube best practices, including aspect ratios, thumbnails, pacing for online audiences, and content optimization.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with South Indian content and languages (e.g., Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, or Malayalam) is highly beneficial.
- Telugu Language as a native or fluent is must.
- Media, Communication, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience in digital video editing.
