IndieDoers is hiring an experienced Video Editor to produce high-performing content for creators and brands. This role is for editors who understand storytelling, retention, and platform-specific editing, not just basic cuts.

Role

You will edit both long-form and short-form content, turning raw footage into engaging, polished videos optimized for YouTube and social platforms.

What You’ll Do

• Edit long-form videos (YouTube, podcasts, interviews, educational content)
• Edit short-form content (Reels, Shorts, TikTok) with strong hooks and pacing
• Add motion graphics, captions, and effects where they improve performance
• Improve storytelling, pacing, and viewer retention
• Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines consistently

Requirements (Strict)

• 3+ years professional video editing experience
• Proven experience with both long-form and short-form content
• Strong understanding of YouTube editing and retention strategies
• Working knowledge of motion graphics / basic animation
• Proficiency in Premiere Pro, After Effects (or equivalent)
• Ability to work independently and deliver consistently

Must-Have Experience (Non-Negotiable)

• Edited content for YouTube creators
• Experience with viral short-form formats
• Previous work with content agencies or marketing teams
• Portfolio with real client work (not just practice edits)
