About VAMA
VAMA is a spiritual technology platform making Sanatan Dharma more accessible through astrology, temples, festivals, rituals, and devotional content. We create engaging short-form content across Instagram, YouTube, and other social platforms to educate and inspire millions of users.
We're looking for a passionate Video Editor who understands social media trends and can transform raw footage into engaging, high-retention videos.
Responsibilities
- Edit Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other short-form videos.
- Add subtitles, motion graphics, transitions, sound effects, and background music.
- Create engaging hooks and maintain fast-paced edits to maximize viewer retention.
- Repurpose long-form content into multiple short-form clips.
- Work closely with the content and social media team to execute content calendars.
- Ensure videos align with VAMA's visual identity and brand guidelines.
- Stay updated with Instagram trends, editing styles, memes, and viral formats.
Requirements
- 1-1.5 year of editing experience (Internships/Freelance projects are welcome).
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, or similar editing software.
- Good understanding of pacing, storytelling, typography, and social media editing.
- Basic knowledge of motion graphics is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Interest in spirituality, astrology, Indian culture, or devotional content is a bonus.
Bonus Skills
- Experience editing talking-head videos.
- Familiarity with AI editing tools.
- Basic graphic design skills (Photoshop/Canva).
- Understanding of Instagram algorithms and content trends.
