Job Role: Senior Video Editor & Content Strategist
TipsThe Video Editor is a visual storyteller responsible for translating complex institutional and corporate narratives into high-impact digital content. Success in this role means producing videos that drive measurable engagement and increase interest in flagship professional and doctoral programs. This role sits within the Marketing & Communications department, acting as the bridge between internal expertise and the external perception of the company’s brand ecosystem.
Responsibilities- End-to-End Post-Production: Manage the full editing lifecycle, including trimming, color grading, sound design, and motion graphics, to produce polished content for YouTube, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
- Narrative Development: Collaborate with the Marketing leadership and program managers to storyboard and script video content that aligns with the specific branding and strategic goals of the organization.
- Brand Consistency: Maintain and evolve the visual identity of the company by ensuring all video assets adhere to established brand guidelines, typography, and color palettes.
- Multichannel Optimization: Adapt long-form content (such as webinars or expert lectures) into "snackable" formats like Reels and Shorts to maximize reach across diverse digital platforms.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Interface with subject matter experts, partners, and clients to capture high-quality interview footage and testimonials, ensuring a comfortable and professional filming environment.
- Asset Management: Organize and maintain a comprehensive digital library of raw footage, project files, and finished assets for efficient retrieval and future repurposing.
Qualifications- Technical Proficiency: Expert-level mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop) or equivalent professional editing software.
- Experience: 3–5 years of professional video editing experience, preferably within a corporate, educational, or creative agency environment.
- Motion Graphics Skills: Demonstrated ability to create engaging 2D/3D motion graphics and kinetic typography to simplify complex data points or conceptual frameworks.
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media Production, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Portfolio: A strong showreel or portfolio demonstrating a range of styles—from high-energy promotional ads to long-form storytelling.
- Attention to Detail: Excellent eye for continuity, pacing, and timing, with a commitment to delivering error-free content under tight deadlines.
- Inclusive Mindset: Ability to produce content that reflects a diverse community and adheres to digital accessibility standards (e.g., accurate subtitling and inclusive visual representation).
