About UsWe Are Sonders is a cinematic storytelling collective creating visually rich, emotionally driven films across travel, culture, and human stories. From series like Ananda – Places of Joy to Soul Beats of India, we focus on capturing real moments with depth, honesty, and craft.
Role OverviewWe’re looking for a Video Editor who understands storytelling beyond just cuts — someone who can shape emotion, rhythm, and narrative through visuals and sound.
This role requires both technical expertise and a cinematic sensibility.
Key Responsibilities- Edit long-form and short-form video content (YouTube, Instagram, documentaries, branded films)
- Craft compelling narratives using raw footage, interviews, and ambient sound
- Work closely with the creative team to maintain a consistent visual style
- Handle sound design, pacing, and transitions with attention to detail
- Perform basic to advanced color grading to enhance mood and tone
- Incorporate motion graphics, titles, and visual effects where needed
- Manage project timelines and deliver edits within deadlines
Required Skills- Strong proficiency in:
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- Adobe After Effects
- DaVinci Resolve (Color Grading)
- Understanding of cinematic storytelling and pacing
- Experience with color theory, LUTs, and grading workflows
- Knowledge of sound design and audio mixing
- Ability to work with multi-cam footage and documentary-style edits
- Good sense of music selection and rhythm
Preferred (Nice to Have)- Experience editing travel films / documentaries / wedding films
- Familiarity with log footage and color pipelines
- Basic knowledge of cinematography and shot composition
- Motion design sensibility (minimal, tasteful graphics)
