Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Video Editor at WFM Media. The Video Editor will manage the end-to-end video production process, including editing raw footage, applying colour grading techniques, and contributing creative input to enhance the final product. The role will also involve creating motion graphics and working on visual elements to align with the brand identity and elevate storytelling for industry-related projects. Collaboration with team members and adherence to deadlines are essential aspects of this position.
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor who has hands-on experience managing or working with YouTube channels. The ideal candidate should not only be skilled in editing but also understand YouTube trends, audience engagement, and content optimisation.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Video Production and Video Editing
- Expertise in Video Colour Grading to ensure polished and professional output
- Skills in creating Motion Graphics and implementing them into video content
- Basic to advanced understanding of Graphics design elements for video projects
- Familiarity with industry-standard editing software and tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or similar
- Strong understanding of timeline-based editing and storytelling techniques
- Attention to detail with an ability to meet tight deadlines
- Knowledge or experience in the architecture, design, or construction industry is a plus
- Effective communication and teamwork skills for remote collaboration
- Edit high-quality videos for social media (long-form, shorts, reels, etc.)
- Handle end-to-end video production – raw footage to final output
- Optimise videos for YouTube (Thumbnails, Titles, Tags, Descriptions, SEO)
- Manage and upload content on the YouTube channel, Instagram, and LinkedIn
- Maintain consistency in branding, tone, and visual identity
- Analyse video performance using YouTube Analytics and suggest improvements
- Collaborate with content creators, marketing, and design teams
- Stay updated with the latest YouTube trends, formats, and algorithm changes
- Ensure timely delivery of content as per the publishing schedule
Required Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience as a Video Editor with exposure to YouTube content
Strong command over tools like:
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- After Effects
- Final Cut Pro (optional)
Understanding of:
- YouTube SEO & algorithm
- Audience retention strategies
- Thumbnail and title optimisation
- Ability to work on motion graphics, transitions, and sound design
