About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and creative Freelance Video Editor with 2–5 years of experience in video editing. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of visual storytelling, social media content, reels, promotional videos, and short-form video editing.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit videos for social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
- Create engaging Reels, Shorts, promotional videos, and marketing content.
- Add transitions, effects, subtitles, animations, music, sound effects, and other elements as required.
- Understand the creative brief and deliver videos according to the required style and specifications.
- Ensure videos are visually appealing, well-paced, and aligned with the brand identity.
- Make revisions based on feedback and deliver final videos within the agreed timeline.
- Manage multiple video editing assignments and meet deadlines consistently.
- Maintain proper organization of project files, footage, and final outputs.
- Stay updated with current video editing trends, formats, and social media content styles.
Required Skills
- 2–5 years of professional experience in video editing.
- Strong knowledge of video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools.
- Good understanding of social media video formats and aspect ratios.
- Knowledge of basic motion graphics, color correction, audio editing, and typography.
- Strong sense of creativity, storytelling, composition, and timing.
- Ability to understand instructions and implement feedback effectively.
- Good communication and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently as a freelancer and manage deadlines.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in editing Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, advertisements, and promotional videos.
- Knowledge of motion graphics and animation.
- Experience working with digital marketing agencies or brands.
- Understanding of current social media trends.
