Role Description The Video Editor role at the true scale is a full-time remote position focused on producing polished, engaging video content for digital platforms. Day-to-day responsibilities include editing raw footage into cohesive stories, trimming and arranging clips, adding transitions, sound effects, and music, and ensuring final deliverables align with brand guidelines and project objectives. The Video Editor will collaborate with producers, creatives, and other team members to interpret briefs, refine concepts, and incorporate feedback into revisions. The role also involves basic color correction and grading, integrating motion graphics or titles, optimizing formats for different channels, and maintaining organized file and project structures. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently in a remote environment while meeting deadlines and maintaining clear communication with the team.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Video Production and Video Editing, with experience turning raw footage into compelling, story-driven content.
- Proficiency in Video Color Grading, with the ability to enhance visual consistency and mood across different projects.
- Ability to create and integrate Motion Graphics and Graphics, including titles, overlays, and simple animations.
- Experience with industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and basic audio editing.
- Solid understanding of video formats, aspect ratios, and compression settings for social media, web, and other digital platforms.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management, with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines remotely.
- Effective communication skills and willingness to collaborate, accept feedback, and iterate on edits.
- Relevant professional experience as a Video Editor or in a similar role; a portfolio or reel showcasing recent work is required.
