Video Editor & Motion Graphics Specialist

About the Role
SOR Group is looking for a Video Editor & Motion Graphics Specialist who can turn raw footage into compelling visual stories. We work with startups, founders, and political organizations to build brands and run campaigns, and video is a key part of how we communicate.
You will be responsible for editing content across formats, from short-form social media videos to long-form campaign and YouTube content, while adding motion graphics and visual elements that elevate the final output.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit short-form and long-form videos for platforms like Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
- Create and integrate motion graphics such as kinetic typography, lower thirds, transitions, and visual effects.
- Collaborate with the creative and marketing teams to execute video concepts.
- Ensure all video content maintains strong storytelling, pacing, and brand consistency.
- Add sound effects, background scores, color correction, and visual enhancements to improve overall quality.
- Organize footage and manage project files to ensure timely delivery of content.
- Stay updated with editing styles, formats, and trends that perform well on digital platforms.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of professional experience in video editing and motion graphics.
- Strong portfolio showcasing social media videos, campaign content, or long-form videos.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and other professional editing tools.
- Understanding of motion graphics, compositing, and visual storytelling.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced creative environment.
Tools & Software
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- After Effects
- DaVinci Resolve / Final Cut Pro (optional)
- Adobe Audition or other audio tools (preferred)
- Familiarity with AI-assisted editing tools such as CapCut, Runway, or similar is a plus.
