Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Dehradun for a Video Editor at Social Cut Studios. The Video Editor will be responsible for editing engaging, high-quality videos tailored for social media platforms and various client needs. Responsibilities include creating and applying motion graphics, color grading, assembling raw footage, trimming, fine-tuning visuals, and incorporating subtitles and captions. The editor will collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver consistent, polished content that enhances audience engagement and meets strategic goals.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Photoshop and DaVinci Resolve
- Strong grasp of storytelling techniques, creative editing, motion graphics, and seamless video transitions
- Understanding of color grading, audio syncing, and sound design
- Skills in subtitle and caption creation, as well as content repurposing for multiple platforms
- Knowledge of platform-specific formats, styles, and trends for Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn
- Strong attention to detail and a sense of timing for capturing audience attention
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and to meet deadlines
- Prior experience in social media content editing or video production is a plus
