Role Description This is a full-time hybrid Video Editor role based in Mumbai, with flexibility for some work-from-home days. The Video Editor will be responsible for assembling raw footage, selecting impactful clips, and creating cohesive, engaging narratives that align with the studio’s creative vision and client objectives. Daily tasks include editing video content for digital platforms, applying transitions and effects, refining audio, and collaborating with directors, producers, and designers to maintain consistent visual style. The role also involves optimizing content for different formats, adhering to deadlines across multiple projects, and providing creative input on story structure, pacing, and visual aesthetics.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Video Production and Video Editing skills, including working with various camera formats and editing workflows.
- Candidates should possess skills in Video Color Grading to ensure visual consistency, mood, and tone across different projects.
- Candidates should possess Motion Graphics and Graphics skills to enhance storytelling with titles, lower thirds, and visual elements.
- Candidates should be proficient with industry-standard editing and post-production tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or similar).
- Candidates should demonstrate strong visual storytelling abilities, attention to detail, and a solid sense of timing and pacing.
- Candidates should be able to collaborate effectively in a creative team, manage feedback constructively, and handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Relevant experience in digital content, advertising, or film, along with a portfolio or showreel showcasing previous work, is highly beneficial.
- A degree or certification in film, media, communication, design, or a related field is preferred but equivalent practical experience will be considered.
