Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Video Editor role based in India. The Video Editor will be responsible for assembling raw footage, selecting the best clips, and creating cohesive, visually appealing videos that meet project requirements and deadlines. Day-to-day tasks include cutting and trimming footage, adding transitions, titles, and basic visual effects, syncing and balancing audio, and exporting files in required formats. The role involves close collaboration with producers, designers, and other team members to understand creative briefs and adjust edits based on feedback. The Video Editor is expected to maintain organized project files, follow brand and quality guidelines, and contribute ideas to improve storytelling and viewer engagement.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve).
- Knowledge of basic motion graphics and visual effects tools (e.g., Adobe After Effects) is preferred.
- Experience with audio editing, sound mixing, and integrating music, voiceovers, and sound effects.
- Ability to follow creative briefs, apply storytelling techniques, and maintain consistent brand style across videos.
- Good understanding of exporting formats, codecs, aspect ratios, and optimization for different platforms (web, social media, presentations).
- Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams on-site.
- Prior experience in video editing or multimedia production; a portfolio or showreel demonstrating past work is highly beneficial.
- Relevant education in film, media, communication, or a related field is an advantage, though equivalent practical experience is also valued.
