Company Description

Qatobit is a SEBI/FIU-IND registered crypto wealth management platform, and we're building a content engine from scratch. This role sits at the center of it. You'll own the video output across short-form social, product explainers, motion graphics, and AI-assisted reels.

This is not a post-and-pray role. You'll be creating content that has to stop a scroll, explain crypto simply, and make a fintech brand feel human.

Role Description

As a Video Editor at Qatobit, you will be responsible for creating high-impact video content that drives attention, retention, and engagement across platforms. This is not just an editing role, you’ll play a key part in shaping how our brand communicates visually.

Key Responsibilities:

• Edit short-form videos (Reels, Shorts) optimized for engagement

• Create product explainers and educational crypto content

• Work with motion graphics, text overlays, and visual storytelling

• Collaborate closely with the content team to execute ideas

• Use AI tools and editing workflows to increase speed and quality

• Optimize content based on performance and retention insights

What you'll actually do

- Film, direct, and edit Reels end-to-end with an on-camera talent, from shot setup to final export

- Handle lighting, framing, and on-set direction to get footage that actually works in the edit

- Cut short-form content with obsessive attention to hook, pacing, and retention

- Build product explainer and demo videos from raw briefs

- Create motion graphics and animated brand assets

- Produce AI-assisted video content using tools like Creatomate and Runway

- Use Claude Teams daily for scripting, captioning, ideation, and content workflows

- Maintain visual and tonal consistency across every piece of content

Comfort with AI tools is not optional. We run an AI-first content operation.

You're the right person if

- You have 2+ years of hands-on video editing experience with a strong short-form portfolio

- You've been on set, not just in post. You know how to direct a shot before you edit it

- You're fluent in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve and After Effects

- You've worked with AI video tools, even on personal projects

- You care about pacing, sound design, and the feeling a video gives

- You can take a rough brief and come back with something better than expected

Non-negotiables

- Portfolio is mandatory. No portfolio = no review.

- Your portfolio must include: at least 3 short-form Reels or Shorts, at least 1 on-camera talent edit, and at least 1 motion graphics or animated asset

- Chennai-based or willing to relocate immediately. Full in-office role.

- Mediocre work doesn't make it through. We look at every frame.
