The Opportunity:
We’re looking for a full-time video full-time (social media & performance). You will be the creative powerhouse behind how Playo looks and feels on screen. This isn't just about slicing clips together; you will own the end-to-end visual narrative for our organic social channels, high-converting performance marketing ads (Meta, YouTube, Google), and in-app feature showcases.
We’re expanding our brand footprint and looking for a creative, high-energy Video Editor & Motion Designer to own our video content engine. If you live on Instagram Reels, breathe kinetic typography, and know how to turn raw sports footage into addictive social content, we want you.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Own Social Video Execution: Edit high-tempo, engaging vertical videos (Reels, Shorts) using a mix of user-generated content (UGC), shoot footage, trending audio, and pop-culture formats.
- Elevate with Motion Graphics: Design and animate kinetic typography, lower thirds, UI transitions, and subtle graphic overlays to make complex features look simple and fun.
- Drive Performance Creative: Build, test, and iterate on video ad variations for performance marketing campaigns, focusing heavily on distinct hooks, pacing, and clear calls-to-action (CTAs).
- Package "Other Stuff": Edit product walkthroughs, company updates, B2B partner videos, and community highlight reels.
- Collaborate Daily: Partner closely with the marketing and creative teams to brainstorm content concepts, script hooks, and stay ahead of internet culture and algorithm shifts.
Requirements:
- Experience: 2 to 4 years of professional video editing experience, ideally within a consumer tech brand, D2C startup, or fast-paced creative agency.
- The Toolkit: Mastery of Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects (or DaVinci Resolve/CapCut Desktop alternatives + new age AI-video tools.
- Pacing & Hook Mastery: An intuitive understanding of sound design, color grading, visual rhythm, and the psychology behind keeping an audience retained past the 3-second mark.
- UI Animation Skills: Ability to take app screenshots or screen recordings and turn them into slick, animated product explainers.
- A Sporty Heart: An affinity for sports, fitness, or gaming culture is a massive bonus. It helps if you know the difference between a drop shot and a smash!
