Job Title: Short-Form Video Editor (Reels & Social Content)
Experience: 2–4 years
Location: Mumbai (On-Site)
Role Overview
We’re looking for a video editor who understands that not all content should feel the same.
Some stories need energy.
Some need stillness.
Some just need to be left untouched.
This role is about reading intent — and shaping edits that feel true to it. From playful, high-energy reels to slow, reflective moments to raw, documentary-style cuts — you should be able to shift your approach based on what the story demands, not just what’s trending.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit short-form videos for Instagram, adapting style, pacing, and tone based on the content.
- Translate raw footage into thoughtful, story-driven edits — sometimes fast and dynamic, sometimes minimal and restrained.
- Use motion graphics, text, and sound intentionally — knowing when to add and when to hold back.
- Collaborate with the content team to understand the why behind each piece, not just the what.
- Shape different formats — high-energy reels, quiet moments, documentary-style edits, and everything in between.
- Maintain a strong sense of rhythm, emotional flow, and narrative clarity.
- Handle quick turnarounds without reducing everything to a template.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong experience editing short-form content (Instagram reels, YouTube Shorts, etc.)
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or similar tools.
- Clear understanding of pacing — across moods, not just speed.
- Ability to work across styles: energetic, minimal, cinematic, documentary.
- Good sense of sound, music, and how it shapes emotion.
- Strong storytelling instincts within short formats.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with education, youth, or human-centred storytelling.
- Basic understanding of shooting and framing.
- Awareness of social media trends, with the judgment to not follow all of them.
