Role Overview
We are looking for a Video Editor who understands modern internet content and knows how to edit for attention, retention, and storytelling.
This role goes beyond cutting clips together. You should understand pacing, viewer psychology, social media trends, creator styles, and how content performs across platforms like Instagram and YouTube.
You will work on a wide variety of content formats including talking head videos, retention based edits, product promos, cinematic storytelling, reels, advertisements, and long form YouTube content.
The ideal candidate is creatively sharp, technically strong, internet native, and constantly aware of evolving content styles.
What You’ll Do
Edit short form and long form content for Instagram, YouTube, ads, and brand campaigns
Create engaging high retention edits optimized for social media performance
Work on a variety of formats including talking head videos, cinematic edits, cash cow style retention content, product promos, and storytelling-based videos
Add motion graphics, text animations, transitions, sound design, and visual effects to improve engagement
Collaborate with content strategists, designers, producers, and creators to execute concepts from ideation to final delivery
Use AI based video generation and creative tools to improve workflows and enhance content quality
Understand trends, creator styles, and platform specific editing patterns
Organize project files and maintain efficient editing workflows
Continuously improve edits based on feedback, analytics, and content performance
Mandatory Skills
Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
Strong understanding of motion graphics and animation
Experience using AI video generation and AI assisted editing tools
Understanding of storytelling, pacing, retention, and viewer psychology
Ability to edit both short form and long form content effectively
Good understanding of internet culture, creators, and evolving editing styles
Strong sense of music, sound design, transitions, and visual rhythm
Good command over English and Hindi
Ability to manage multiple edits and work in a fast-paced environment
Bonus Skills
Photoshop and graphic design skills
Experience working with fitness, lifestyle, or consumer brands
Basic knowledge of camera framing and content production
Experience creating viral or high performing social media content
What We’re Looking For
1 to 3 years of experience in video editing, preferably in a social media agency, creator ecosystem, or content first brand
A strong and diverse portfolio across multiple editing styles
Someone who takes ownership and can independently execute ideas
Someone who understands that editing is storytelling, not just software work
A creator mindset with curiosity for trends, formats, and audience behavior
Ability to take feedback positively and improve quickly
Job Details
Location: On Site, Kurla, Mumbai
Working Days: Monday to Saturday
Timing: 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM
3rd and 4th Saturdays are off
Experience Required: 1 to 3 Years
Compensation: ₹4 LPA to ₹6 LPA Depending on profile
Candidates must have their own laptop or PC capable of handling professional editing workflows
