Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Video Editor at Heylix Media. The Video Editor will be responsible for assembling raw footage into polished videos for digital campaigns, social media, and other marketing channels. Daily tasks include editing video content, applying color grading, incorporating graphics and motion elements, syncing audio, and ensuring consistent brand style and quality. The role also involves collaborating with the creative and marketing teams to interpret briefs, adapt content for multiple platforms and formats, and deliver projects on time. The Video Editor will manage media assets, stay current on video trends and tools, and contribute ideas to enhance storytelling and audience engagement.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Video Production and Video Editing for marketing and social media content.
- Proficiency in Video Color Grading to maintain visual consistency and enhance storytelling.
- Experience with Motion Graphics and Graphics to create engaging visual elements and titles.
- Proficiency with industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and motion design tools (e.g., After Effects).
- Solid understanding of aspect ratios, codecs, export settings, and optimizing video for web and social platforms.
- Strong sense of timing, pacing, narrative structure, and visual storytelling.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional creative and marketing teams.
- Relevant experience in digital marketing, advertising, or media production; a portfolio or demo reel is required.
- Degree or formal training in Film, Media, Animation, Design, or a related field is beneficial but not mandatory.
