Role Description The Video Editor will be responsible for editing raw footage into polished, engaging videos for fashion, production, and retail tech projects. Day-to-day tasks include organizing and assembling footage, cutting and trimming sequences, adding transitions, effects, and titles, and adjusting audio levels to ensure consistent quality. The role involves collaborating with creative directors, producers, and other team members to interpret briefs, maintain brand guidelines, and meet project deadlines. The Video Editor will also prepare different versions of content optimized for various platforms and formats, and support in maintaining an organized library of media assets. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru South.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
- Skills in motion graphics and visual effects using tools like Adobe After Effects or similar applications.
- Strong understanding of video formats, codecs, aspect ratios, and exporting for different platforms.
- Ability to manage audio editing, basic sound design, and synchronization of music and voice-overs.
- Experience collaborating with creative and production teams, with strong communication and feedback skills.
- Attention to detail, visual storytelling ability, and a strong sense of pacing, composition, and color.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work efficiently under deadlines, and adapt to changing project requirements.
- Portfolio or showreel demonstrating relevant video editing work; experience in fashion or advertising is an advantage.
- Formal education in film, media, visual communication, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent experience is also valued.
