Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Video Editor at Difference. The Video Editor will be responsible for assembling raw video footage into polished, compelling content for advertising campaigns across digital and social platforms. Day-to-day tasks include editing videos to match creative briefs and storyboards, adding motion graphics and titles, applying color correction and grading, and optimizing content for multiple formats and aspect ratios. The role involves close collaboration with creative directors, copywriters, designers, and producers to refine narratives, ensure brand consistency, and meet deadlines. The Video Editor will also manage media assets, follow naming and storage conventions, and provide exports and versions suitable for client review and final delivery.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Video Editing and Video Production, including assembling footage, syncing audio, and structuring engaging narratives.
- Proficiency in Video Color Grading, with the ability to correct exposure, balance color, and establish consistent visual styles.
- Experience with Motion Graphics and Graphics, including creating or integrating titles, lower thirds, transitions, and simple animations.
- Proficient in industry-standard editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve) and basic familiarity with After Effects or similar software.
- Solid understanding of formats, codecs, frame rates, and best practices for exporting video for web, social media, and advertising platforms.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and the ability to handle multiple projects in a remote, deadline-driven environment.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with a willingness to accept feedback and iterate quickly.
- Previous experience in advertising, digital content, or social media campaigns is preferred; a portfolio or reel demonstrating relevant work is required.
