Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Video Editor role based in Bhilai. The Video Editor will be responsible for assembling raw footage into polished videos, selecting and trimming clips, organizing timelines, and ensuring a coherent narrative that aligns with project objectives. Daily tasks include integrating audio, music, and sound effects; applying transitions; adding graphics or motion elements; and performing basic color correction and color grading as needed. The role involves collaborating closely with directors, producers, and other creative team members to interpret briefs, incorporate feedback, and deliver multiple versions optimized for different platforms. The Video Editor will also help manage media assets, maintain organized project files, and stay updated on editing techniques and software features to improve workflow and output quality.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Video Editing and Video Production, including working with timelines, multi-camera footage, and various video formats.
- Proficiency in Video Color Grading, with the ability to enhance visual tone, consistency, and mood across sequences.
- Experience with Motion Graphics and Graphics to create or integrate titles, lower thirds, overlays, and simple animations.
- Ability to work with industry-standard editing and post-production tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects or similar).
- Strong sense of visual storytelling, pacing, and sound-image synchronization.
- Attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Effective communication skills and willingness to collaborate on-site with a multidisciplinary creative team.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Film, Media, Communication, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; a portfolio or showreel demonstrating previous work is required.
