Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Video Editor located in Chennai. The Video Editor will be responsible for editing and assembling recorded raw material into a suitable, finished product ready for broadcasting. Tasks include reviewing the shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity, trimming footage segments, applying special effects, inserting dialogue, music, graphics, and designing final formats for videos. Additionally, the role involves collaborating closely with the production team to create engaging, cohesive videos and ensuring technical quality.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Davinci Resolve Studio
- Familiarity with special effects, Color Grading, and compositing
- Strong portfolio of video editing work
- Ability to understand the client’s vision and translate it into video content
- Solid understanding of storytelling techniques and video formats
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Relevant experience in video production or a related field
