We are looking for a skilled Short-Form Video Editor & Motion Graphics Artist who can create modern, engaging, and high-retention videos for social media and advertising campaigns.
Role Overview
We are hiring a Short-Form Video Editor for our Pitampura office. The candidate must specialize in short-form video editing and must have strong hands-on expertise in Adobe After Effects.
After Effects is absolutely mandatory for this role.
The candidate will be responsible for editing engaging videos such as Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, talking head videos, podcast clips, brand videos, ad creatives, and social media content.
This role is not for a basic cutter/editor only. We need someone who understands motion graphics, animated captions, 3D camera movement, 2.5D animation, visual storytelling, pacing, hooks, and retention-focused editing.
Key Responsibilities1. Short-Form Video Editing
The candidate will create high-quality short-form videos for social media platforms such as:
- Instagram Reels
- YouTube Shorts
- Facebook Reels
- TikTok-style videos
- Paid ad creatives
- Founder-led videos
- Brand videos
- Educational videos
- Product/service-based reels
The editor should be able to edit videos in a fast-paced, engaging, and clean style suitable for modern social media.
Responsibilities include:
- Editing vertical videos in 9:16 format
- Creating videos between 15 seconds to 90 seconds
- Making strong hooks in the first 2–3 seconds
- Removing pauses, mistakes, filler words, and dead space
- Adding jump cuts, punch-ins, zooms, transitions, overlays, and visual effects
- Making videos engaging without making them cluttered
- Creating multiple versions of videos when required for testing or campaigns
2. Adobe After Effects Motion Graphics
The candidate must be highly comfortable working in Adobe After Effects.
After Effects skills required:
- Motion graphics
- Animated typography
- Kinetic text
- Shape layer animation
- Keyframe animation
- Smooth easing and graph editor usage
- Lower thirds
- Callouts
- Highlight effects
- Animated arrows, circles, boxes, and markers
- Text reveal animations
- Icon animations
- Transitions
- Masking
- Motion tracking
- Rotoscoping basics
- Compositing
- Pre-compositions
- Null object animation
- Organized project file structure
Basic Premiere Pro editing alone will not be enough for this role.
3. 3D Camera & 2.5D Animation
The candidate should have practical experience using 3D Camera tools in After Effects.
Required skills include:
- Working with 3D layers
- Creating 3D camera movement
- Using null objects to control camera movement
- Creating depth using foreground, midground, and background layers
- 2.5D parallax animation
- Animating text and graphics in 3D space
- Creating push-in, pull-out, pan, tilt, and rotation movements
- Using lights and shadows where needed
- Creating motion depth from static images, designs, and visual assets
The candidate does not need to be a full 3D artist, but should be able to create depth, camera movement, and premium motion using After Effects.
4. Talking Head Video Editing
The candidate should be strong at editing engaging talking head videos.
Responsibilities include:
- Editing founder videos, expert videos, podcast clips, interviews, and educational reels
- Identifying the best hooks from raw footage
- Removing low-retention parts
- Adding animated captions
- Highlighting important words and phrases
- Adding B-roll, screenshots, graphics, and overlays
- Using zoom cuts, jump cuts, punch-ins, and visual rhythm
- Adding background music and sound effects
- Improving voice clarity and overall video polish
- Making the video feel premium, clean, and attention-grabbing
The candidate should understand that talking head editing is not just trimming footage. It requires storytelling, pacing, captions, visual variation, and audience retention.
5. Caption Animation & Kinetic Typography
The candidate must be skilled at creating captions that are readable, clean, and engaging.
Responsibilities include:
- Creating dynamic subtitles
- Syncing captions accurately with voice
- Highlighting key words
- Creating animated text effects
- Using kinetic typography where needed
- Maintaining proper font size, spacing, and alignment
- Making captions mobile-friendly
- Using brand colors and fonts properly
- Avoiding messy or over-designed captions
6. Social Media & Ad Creative Understanding
The candidate should understand what makes short-form videos perform well on social media.
They should be able to edit content that is:
- Hook-driven
- Retention-focused
- Fast-paced
- Easy to understand
- Mobile-first
- Visually engaging
- Brand-safe
- Suitable for organic content and paid ads
They should understand basic content structures such as:
- Hook → Problem → Solution → CTA
- Problem → Agitation → Solution

7. Video Ads & Brand Content
The candidate may also work on ad creatives for Bridgekala’s clients.
Responsibilities include:
- Editing Meta ad creatives
- Creating Instagram Reel ads
- Creating service-based ad videos
- Creating product/service explainers
- Adding offer-based text overlays
- Creating strong CTA screens
- Making videos suitable for paid campaigns
- Creating variations for A/B testing
- Maintaining brand guidelines
8. Audio, Color & Final Polish
The candidate should be able to polish videos before final delivery.
This includes:
- Basic audio cleanup
- Voice level balancing
- Background music selection
- Sound effect placement
- Basic color correction
- Skin tone correction for talking head videos
- Noise reduction where possible
- Clean export settings for social media
- Final quality check before delivery
9. File Management
The candidate must maintain organized project files.
Responsibilities include:
- Organizing raw footage, assets, music, SFX, fonts, and exports
- Naming layers and compositions properly in After Effects
- Keeping Premiere Pro and After Effects files editable
- Maintaining project folders properly
- Exporting final videos in required formats
- Keeping backups of important project files

- Strong hands-on experience in Adobe After Effects
- Portfolio of reels, shorts, talking head videos, and motion graphics
- Experience creating animated captions and social media edits
- Understanding of modern editing styles used on Instagram and YouTube Shorts
- Ability to work from office in Pitampura, Delhi
Freshers may be considered only if they have a strong portfolio and excellent After Effects skills.
Portfolio Requirement
Applicants must share a portfolio or showreel that includes:
- Instagram Reels / YouTube Shorts
- Talking head edits
- After Effects motion graphics
- Animated captions
- 3D camera or 2.5D animation work
- Ad creatives, if available
- Before-after editing samples, if available
Candidates without After Effects-based work will not be preferred.
