Role Description The Video Editor at Astroport Global is a full-time, on-site role based in Dwarka. This role involves editing and assembling video footage for promotional campaigns, educational content, and destination storytelling across digital platforms. The Video Editor will work closely with the creative and marketing teams to plan shoots, select and organize clips, apply transitions, effects, and color grading, and incorporate motion graphics to enhance visual narratives. Responsibilities include maintaining brand consistency, optimizing video formats for various channels, managing media assets, and meeting project timelines. The role also includes collaborating on content ideas, providing creative input during pre-production, and ensuring all output aligns with Astroport Global’s mission of making space and astronomy accessible and engaging.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Video Editing and Video Production for digital and social media formats.
- Proficiency in Video Color Grading to achieve consistent, high-quality visual styles.
- Experience with Motion Graphics and Graphics to create engaging visual elements and overlays.
- Hands-on experience with industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects or equivalents).
- Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple video projects with attention to detail and deadlines.
- Strong visual storytelling, creativity, and understanding of pacing, sound, and composition.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional and on-site teams.
- Relevant education in Film, Media, Animation, Design, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Interest in astronomy, science communication, or experiential travel is an advantage.
