Role: Video Editor

About the Role
We are looking for a Video Editor who can lead and manage video output across campaigns, especially for government and political projects. This role needs strong editing skills, clear storytelling sense, and the ability to handle sensitive communication with speed and responsibility. The person should understand both creative quality and execution pressure.
Key Responsibilities
Video Editing & Direction
- Edit high-impact videos for campaigns, social media, and digital communication
- Build strong storytelling structure for short-form and long-form content
- Ensure smooth visual flow, strong pacing, and audience engagement
- Maintain high standards in editing, transitions, sound, graphics, and overall output quality
Content Strategy
- Help define editing styles and video formats for different campaigns
- Guide how content should look and feel across platforms like Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and others
- Turn complex topics into clear and effective visual storytelling
- Understand campaign goals and shape edits that support communication objectives
Government / Political Communication
- Work on sensitive government and political communication projects with care and accuracy
- Ensure tone, facts, and visual treatment are aligned with campaign requirements
- Edit awareness campaigns, announcements, public messaging videos, and political communication content
- Handle large-scale communication work with clarity, speed, and responsibility
Team Leadership
- Review edits created by junior and mid-level editors
- Give clear feedback and improve overall team output
- Mentor team members on storytelling, pacing, structure, and editing quality
- Maintain consistency and quality standards across projects
Client & Execution
- Work closely with content, strategy, design, and client teams
- Handle tight deadlines and quick turnaround requirements
- Ensure all final outputs meet quality, communication, and brand standards
- Contribute to campaign discussions with practical editing and execution inputs
Required Skills
- Strong expertise in DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, and After Effects
- Strong video editing, motion graphics, and storytelling ability
- Good understanding of social media video formats and YouTube content
- Ability to create engaging edits with strong pacing and visual clarity
- Good understanding of campaign communication and audience behavior
- Strong decision-making and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure
Experience
- 3–7 years of experience in a creative, advertising, or digital agency (mandatory)
- Strong experience working on government and political campaigns (mandatory)
- Solid portfolio of campaign videos, social content, ads, or public communication work
