Company Description Aarav Entertainment was established as a dedicated entity to manage distribution and production investment interests originating from The Red Chilies. The organization works closely with The Red Chillies Cloud Kitchen & Catering unit in Mumbai and operates Aarav Distribution Unit, targeting markets across Asia, the CIS, the Middle East, Africa, and Europe. Aarav Production Units focus on creating films, audio stories, short dramas, and other media content. Team members have the opportunity to contribute to diverse storytelling formats and projects aimed at audiences across multiple regions.
Role Description The Video Editor will work full time on-site at the Mumbai office, collaborating closely with directors, producers, writers, and production teams to craft compelling visual narratives. Day-to-day responsibilities include assembling raw footage, selecting and organizing clips, trimming and sequencing content, and applying transitions, graphics, sound effects, and music to create polished final videos. The role involves color correction, audio balancing, and adapting content for different formats and platforms, while maintaining consistency with brand guidelines and creative direction. The Video Editor will also review feedback from stakeholders, iterate on edits, manage project files and backups, and help optimize workflows to meet deadlines for film, audio-visual stories, and short drama projects.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency with professional video editing software (such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and basic motion graphics tools (such as After Effects).
- Demonstrated skill in visual storytelling, pacing, shot selection, and creating engaging edits for films, short dramas, and digital content.
- Experience with color correction and grading, audio editing and mixing, and integrating sound design and music into video projects.
- Ability to adapt content for multiple platforms and formats (cinema, web, social media), including aspect ratios, resolutions, and codecs.
- Solid understanding of production workflows, file management, and collaboration with cinematography, sound, and post-production teams.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, on-site studio environment in Mumbai.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with openness to feedback and ability to incorporate creative direction constructively.
- Relevant experience in film, media, or entertainment; a degree or formal training in film editing, media production, or a related field is beneficial.
- Familiarity with script breakdowns, storyboards, and continuity management is a plus, along with an interest in international audiences and diverse storytelling.
