Position: Professional Video Editor (Kdenlive)
Type: Hourly contract
Compensation: $30 - $100/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
Role Responsibilities
- Edit and deliver high-quality video projects using Kdenlive and advanced non-linear workflows.
- Manage and structure complex multi-layered video projects across formats and durations.
- Implement proxy editing techniques for efficient handling of high-resolution footage.
- Apply color grading and correction to ensure visual consistency and quality.
- Perform audio editing, mixing, and synchronization for professional output.
- Optimize rendering and export settings for multiple distribution platforms.
- Collaborate with teams to align creative direction with technical execution.
Requirements
- Strong experience using Kdenlive for professional video editing.
- Strong understanding of non-linear editing workflows and multi-track compositing.
- Strong experience with color grading, audio editing, and post-production processes.
- Ability to manage complex projects from raw footage to final delivery.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills for project structuring and archiving.
- Ability to stay updated with evolving editing tools and best practices.
