Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Video Editor role based in Surat. The Video Editor will handle end-to-end editing of news segments, street food features, and other city-focused video content for digital platforms. Daily tasks include organizing raw footage, selecting key clips, adding transitions, titles, and effects, and ensuring audio quality and proper color correction. The role involves close collaboration with reporters, camera operators, and social media staff to produce timely and engaging videos that match the editorial guidelines and brand style. The Video Editor will also assist in optimizing video formats for various channels and maintaining an organized archive of media assets.
Qualifications
- Strong video editing skills using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools).
- Basic motion graphics and visual effects skills, with familiarity in tools such as After Effects or similar.
- Sound understanding of storytelling, pacing, and visual composition for short-form digital video content.
- Ability to work on-site in Surat, collaborate effectively with a media production team, and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of social media platforms and best practices for video content distribution is beneficial.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Prior experience in news, media, or digital content production is an advantage.
- Relevant certification or degree in film, media, communication, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
