About the Role

Role Review
We are seeking an organised and technically sound Video Inventory Executive to oversee the cataloguing, storage, tracking, retrieval, and lifecycle management of all video assets across live productions, archived matches, R&D shoots, and commercial deliverables. This role sits at the intersection of broadcast operations, media asset management, storage infrastructure, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Asset Management & Cataloguing
- Design and maintain structured inventory systems for all video assets
- Develop naming conventions, folder hierarchies, metadata standards and overall digital hygiene
- Ensure all footage is sorted, shortlisted and logged with event details, match identifiers, camera positions, and technical specifications.
Ingest & Storage Oversight
- Oversee ingestion from OB Crews, Studio stations, remote production setups, and specialty cameras
- Coordinate storage allocation across NAS/SAN systems, archival storage, and cloud backups
- Monitor storage health, utilisation, and forecasting
Retrieval & Distribution
- Manage internal footage requests across departments
- Maintain quick-turn retrieval workflows
- Track asset movement and usage rights
- Ensure version control across edited outputs
Compliance & Governance
- Maintain data retention policies
- Ensure contract compliance for footage usage
- Oversee backup redundancy standards
- Maintain logs
Process & Automation
- Evaluate and deploy and maintain MAM tools as necessary
- Create SOPs for ingest, archival, restoration, and disaster recovery
- Implement automation scripts for tagging and proxy generation
- Recommend AI-based indexing solutions where applicable
Reporting & Optimization
- Generate monthly inventory health reports
- Provide 6–12 month storage forecasting
- Propose workflow improvements
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong understanding of codecs (ProRes, DNxHR, H.264/H.265) and containers (MOV, MP4, MXF)
- Familiarity with NAS/SAN systems, LTO archiving, checksum verification tools, and cloud storage platforms
- Experience with MAM systems (Axle, Iconik, Viz One)
- Working knowledge of NLEs (Premiere, Resolve, Avid, Final Cut)
- Experience in live sports or broadcast environments preferred
- Strong documentation discipline and attention to detail
- Bachelor’s degree in Media Technology / Film Production / Broadcast Engineering / IT
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience
