Role Description The Vice Principal is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Kolkata, responsible for supporting the Principal in the overall academic and administrative management of the school. Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing teaching and learning practices, monitoring curriculum implementation, and ensuring adherence to academic standards across ICSE and IGCSE programs. The role involves mentoring and guiding faculty, conducting regular classroom observations, coordinating professional development, and promoting a positive, inclusive school culture. The Vice Principal will manage student discipline processes, engage with families and guardians, and collaborate on school events, examinations, and co-curricular activities. This position also requires active participation in strategic planning, policy development, and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with the school’s vision and values.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership and school administration skills, with experience in academic planning, staff supervision, and policy implementation.
- Expertise in curriculum design and delivery, preferably with exposure to ICSE, IGCSE, or equivalent national and international educational programs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate with students, families, educators, and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability in student management, pastoral care, and fostering an inclusive, safe, and respectful learning environment.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and data-based decision-making tools for monitoring performance and improving outcomes.
- Master’s degree or equivalent qualification in Education or a related field; formal training in school leadership or management is an advantage.
- Prior experience in a senior academic or administrative role within a school setting, preferably in a CBSE, ICSE, or international curriculum environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with capacity to handle multiple responsibilities and meet institutional goals.
