Position Overview
As a Vice President of AML production‑support function for Client Engagement & Financial Security platforms, you will govern the entire support lifecycle for AML, sanctions‑screening and regulatory systems, ensuring SLA, risk‑management and audit compliance. Key duties include: elevating monitoring and automation (Python/Ansible), optimizing cloud‑native performance and capacity, overseeing DR/BIA/IT continuity, driving KPI improvements, guaranteeing AML/SAR compliance and policy governance, building and mentoring a distributed support team with robust shift/on‑call models, and managing third‑party relationships, SLAs and cost‑optimisation.
Job Responsibilities
- Global AML Support Ownership – Lead the AML production‑support team across AMER, EMEA and APAC, ensuring SLA compliance, proactive risk mitigation, and zero‑downtime through Disaster Recovery, Business Impact Analysis and IT Continuity Planning.
- Regulatory & Controls Governance – Oversee AML transaction‑monitoring, sanctions‑screening and SAR processes; guarantee accurate, timely regulatory reporting and alignment of support procedures with CIB policies, industry best‑practices and global compliance requirements.
- Service‑Improvement & KPI Management – Drive continuous improvement of incident, problem and change management metrics (e.g., MTTR, L3 escalation reduction) by applying data‑driven insights and automation.
- Monitoring & Observability – Strengthen real‑time visibility using Dynatrace, Geneos, OpenSearch and “Monitoring as Code” (MONACO) to detect and resolve issues before they impact the business.
- Automation & RCA – Automate release deployments, incident triage and routine tasks with Python, Ansible and CI/CD pipelines; lead root‑cause analyses for P1/P2 incidents, ensure permanent fixes and knowledge transfer.
- Capacity, Cost & Scalability Optimisation – Partner with Infrastructure and Cloud teams to size, tune and scale applications (on‑prem & cloud) for performance efficiency and cost effectiveness.
- Stakeholder & Vendor Governance – Act as the single point of contact for Business, Development and Infrastructure groups; manage the Follow‑the‑Sun support model, enforce contractual SLAs with outsourcing partners and drive cost‑optimisation initiatives.
- People & Talent Development – Recruit, mentor and retain a globally distributed support team; define sustainable shift rotations and on‑call policies, implement succession planning and deliver AML‑regulatory training and up‑skilling programmes.
Required Education, Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 15+ years of AML/Regulatory application production‑support experience (global, 24/7 environment).
• Monitoring & observability: Dynatrace, Geneos, ELK/OpenSearch, Grafana, Power BI.
• Operating Systems & Databases: Unix/Linux, Windows, Oracle/SQL.
• Scripting & Automation: Python, Ansible, CI/CD pipelines.
• Cloud/Infra: Docker, Kubernetes, infrastructure‑hygiene concepts.
• Security & Compliance: Production security controls, CyberArk, vulnerability management, audit remediation.
• Proven leadership of large, distributed support teams.
• Hands‑on experience with ITSM frameworks (ITIL, ServiceNow).
Regulatory Knowledge
Deep understanding of AML, sanctions, SAR, and global regulatory reporting requirements.
Preferred Skills & Experience
Experience with cloud‑native platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and migration of legacy AML systems to the cloud.
Familiarity with AI/ML‑driven monitoring or anomaly‑detection solutions.
Knowledge of AIOps platforms (e.g., Moogsoft, Splunk ITSI) for automated incident correlation.
ITIL Expert, PMP, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or AML‑specific certifications.
